Erosion and Sediment Control
Certification If you are involved
with moving soil with a trencher, a front-end loader, an excavator or a shovel
in Georgia , then you need erosion and sediment control certification. Who needs erosion and sediment control certification? Why do you need certification? It’s the law. Georgia House Bill 285 says that anyone who is involved with land disturbing activities must be certified in erosion and sediment control practices by December 31, 2006. Penalties for carrying on land disturbing activities without the proper certification or permits can include fines, permit revocation, forfeiture of bonding and stop work orders. What courses do you need to take for your certification? Where can you take these certification courses?
